Defensive Pistol (Handgun)-kl 10/15/2023

October 15, 2023 @ 8:00 AM 6:00 PM

$249

This is one of the most challenging classes with just a 30% pass rate
intended to provide advanced pistol training. This is an option for students who
achieved successful completion of the NRA Basic Pistol or FIRST Steps Pistol courses.
The goal is for your Instructor to guide you through this training to the point at which
you have accomplished each objective and become qualified to receive a course
completion certificate. 100% hits on target is required to pass. If you do not pass the
first time, work on it. You may retest when you are ready. Additional time is charged
per training hour, plus shooter’s range and ammunition expenses.

We will cover:

  • Importance of concealed carry and ethics
  • Safety and concealed carry
  • Concealment principles
  • Presenting the gun – holstering
  • Mental awareness and preparations
  • Confrontation avoidance
  • Physio/psycho reactions
  • Defensive shooting and gun handling skills
  • A look at pocket pistols

Special Equipment Requirements
Optional equipment:

  • Baseball type hat
  • Extra water and/or ‘ade’ drink; two gallons might get you through a summer day

  • Closed neck shirts
  • Compression or high impact sports bra for women
