Overview

This course certifies the instructor to teach Basic Baton for Law Enforcement and Security applications. This instructor course is not baton brand-specific and certifies the instructor to train with an expandable or straight baton.

(TCOLE Reporting Number 2053)

PREREQUISITE: Student must be a TCOLE instructor or graduate of P3TC’s Basic Instructor Course.

Who is the course for?

The State of Texas Penal Code 46.03 requires all Law Enforcement and Security Officers carrying a baton be trained in its use prior to carry; the instructor will be able to satisfy that requirement.
