Overview
This is an all or none Revolver, Rifle, and Shotgun multi-discipline certification. Prior to attending the NRA-NMLRA Muzzleloading Instructor Training Course, Instructor Candidates must have completed Basic Instructor Training (BIT) within two (2) years, complete the pre-course questionnaire, and the multi-discipline pre-course qualification. Only those candidates who achieve satisfactory scores in the pre-course qualification, and meet other specified requirements for NRA-NMLRA instructors, are eligible for certification. There must be four (4) candidates to hold this course.
Muzzleloading Instructor Pre-Course Qualification
Certified Instructors teach students the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe, proficient, and ethical use of firearms.
The NRA Instructor Training Courses consists of two parts:
Part one: Basic Instructor Training (Must be current within two-years.)
Part two: The specific discipline training e.g. Rifle, Pistol, Home Firearms Safety, etc.
