Overview
Learn to employ the rifle through a variety of techniques. Students are taught proper nomenclature, tactical loading and unloading techniques, shooting from various positions/distances, shooting on the move, multiple targets engagements, how to carry for speed employment, employment in outdoor and indoor situations, to shoot on the move, select ammunition, and much more.
Students should prepare themselves to respond properly to a wide variety of threatening situations. To avoid injury we must train to recognize possible threats and plan a response to them before they occur. Students should become familiar with mounting and shooting the rifle from positions other than the shoulder mount. They should also be familiar with shooting while holding the rifle in the event that handgun fails and a transition to the handgun must be made.
Prerequisite: Currently qualified through an LE agency, or trained in NRA FIRST Steps or Basic Rifle, or Introduction to Defensive Rifle.
