Jerry Adams
Is certified by the NRA to teach Chief Range Safety Officer, Home Firearms Safety, Basic Pistol, Basic Rifle, Refuse To Be A Victim® (a crime avoidance class), Personal Protection In The Home, and Personal Protection Outside The Home. He is also certified by the State of Texas as a License to Carry Handgun (LTC) Instructor.
OVERVIEW
Anyone who wants to learn to safely use a handgun or get better at handling their handgun. This course is a prerequisite for NRA Basic Pistol Instructors. Students will get the NRA’s The Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook.
Completing this course will teach you:
- Firearm safety
- Gun handling
- Various types of handguns
- Fundamentals of marksmanship
- Shooting positions
- Practical exercises on the firing range
- Firearm cleaning
- Firearm storage
- A summary of handgun sports and activiites
