A retired U.S. Marine, and the P3TC Private Security Program Manager, Nathan is also an NRA Basic Pistol, Basic Rifle, CCW, License To Carry Handgun, Private Security Program, Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events, U.S Concealed Carry Association Instructor, and is an NRA Certified Chief Range Safety Officer.
OVERVIEW
The Basics of Rifle Shooting Course teaches basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to safely use a sporting or modern sporting rifle in target shooting. This course is a pre-requisite for NRA Basic Rifle Instructors. Students will get the NRA’s The Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook.
Completing this course will teach you:
- Rifle safety
- Rifle handling
- Various types of rifles
- Fundamentals of marksmanship
- Shooting positions
- Practical exercises on the firing range
- Rifle cleaning
- Rifle storage
- A summary of rifle sports and activities
