NEW 2024 REQUIREMENTS
Per TOC 1702.1675(g) Handgun Proficiency and Self-Defense Course must include at least 10 hours and not more than 15 hours of in-person instruction with an onsite instructor.
Per TOC 1702-163(a)(5) All Commissioned Security Officers must provide proof of completion and the results of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory test.
This Instructor Led Training course provides 15-hour training and certification after completing the online portion of Level III Security Officer training. This is the certification required for all Level III Commissioned Security Officers (Armed Security Officers).
Range fees, ammunition, and other expenses not included. Firearm rentals are available.
OC Pepper Spray is not part of this course. You may check the schedule and register for OC Pepper Spray training at www.P3TC.com.
Students may also be able to get their License to Carry Handgun (LTC) certificate at a discount. Ask your instructor for details.

Code 1), a criminal conviction may disqualify you from a Commission or license under the Act. You also have a right to request from the department a criminal history evaluation letter under Occupations Code Section 53.102.”
PREREQUISITE: Online portion – Level III Basic Training Course – General Security Officer Training. Signed (PSP-30) ‘In-Person Classroom or Online Training’ section of the Level III Certificate of Completion REQUIRED via email or physical copy.
