Art Wachdorf
Art Wachdorf retired as a Colonel from the USAF after over 26 years of active-duty service. After retiring in 2021, he became a firearms instructor with NRA Rifle, Pistol, and Texas LTC certifications. He is also a Chief Range Safety Officer. Art regularly shoots a variety of pistols and rifles, especially his beloved Walther, since they took his F-15 away!
OVERVIEW
For Level III, Commissioned Security Officers needing to complete Continuing Education (Requalification)/Recertification who have never received baton training, DPS recommends completion of Unit 10 Intermediate Weapons of the full course before completing CE training to ensure adequate training concerning batons. P3TC offers a four-hour Baton Certification course; www.P3TC.com.
You might be able to get your Texas License to Carry Handgun (LTC) Handgun with a little extra time and nominal charge. Tell your Instructor if you are interested.
